Australian Muscle Car Magazine
Regular Contributor
Australian Muscle Car magazine is a hugely sucessful high quality magazine published bi-monthly focusing on the best Australian performance cars from the past, and today. Muscle cars have a huge global following, and Australia has produced some world class examples. This magazine celebrates both the road going muscle cars, as well as a big focus on motor racing, particularly early touring cars, production car racing, and V8 Supercars.
My first full feature article was in Issue 63 “The Pink Issue”, which included a story about a beautiful 1964 Studebaker GT Hawk. Many may not consider it a true muscle car, but with V8 power, two doors, plenty of chrome, and loads of character, it ticks all the boxes!
Another feature was in Issue 68 “Foreign Invader”, which included 40 reasons to love the XB Falcon GT, celebrating 40 years since the first XB GT was built. You may think it would be difficult to come up with so many reasons, however there is plenty to like and write about!
Most recently, I was lucky enough to write the cover feature for Issue 136 “The Unicorn”, which covers the story of the most notorious Australian Muscle Car ever built, the 1972 Ford XA Falcon GT-HO Phase IV. The feature included the only documented road test of the Phase IV, giving me the opportunity to get behind the wheel of this fabled creation, and allowing me to share my experiences with enthusiasts who have no doubt dreamed of having the same drive.
